Trust and safety

Community Standards

Beavo Community is a practical, respectful space for pregnancy partners at a similar stage. These standards apply to every post and account.

Effective date: 16 July 2026

The short version: be kind, protect privacy, share experience rather than diagnosis, and never wait for Community when professional help may be needed.

What belongs here

Clear questions

Ask about practical preparation, communication, appointments, labour support, recovery and newborn routines.

Useful experience

Share what helped you while making clear that another family may receive different professional advice.

Small wins

Celebrate progress without comparison, pressure or judgement.

Respectful support

Respond with empathy. Different families, births, feeding choices and circumstances deserve respect.

What is not allowed

Do not post harassment, hate, threats, sexual or exploitative material, bullying, scams, advertising, spam, illegal content, impersonation or deliberately false information. Do not publish phone numbers, email addresses, links, exact addresses, medical records, identifying photographs or another person's private information.

Do not diagnose, prescribe, recommend unsafe treatment, tell someone to ignore a clinician, or present personal experience as medical fact. Beavo may filter, hide or remove content and may restrict or close accounts that breach these standards.

Reports, blocking and moderation

Every signed-in member can report a post, block another member and delete their own posts. Reports enter a protected moderation queue. Beavo aims to review reports within 24 hours, prioritising threats, privacy risks and unsafe medical information. Repeated or serious breaches can lead to account restriction or removal.

If you think a moderation decision was wrong, contact Beavo Support with the approximate date and reason. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, medical records or urgent health concerns.

Identity and privacy

Community requires Apple or Google sign-in. Posts show the member's preferred name and a broad due-month or pregnancy-stage cohort. Email addresses and exact due dates are not displayed. Anonymous posting and private messaging are not available.

Urgent pregnancy concerns

Community cannot diagnose and is not monitored as a care service. For reduced or changed baby movements, bleeding, waters breaking with concerning symptoms, severe pain or another urgent concern, contact the midwife or maternity unit immediately. Use NHS 111 when appropriate and call 999 in an emergency. Do not wait for replies.
